Our Community Policeman
Stuart
Witt joined Dorset police in June 2003 and at the end of his training
became a police constable at Winton police station.
He started as a response officer - called by radio
to incidents all over north Bournemouth. It's a demanding job
and requires broad knowledge of the north Bournemouth area.
In March of 2006 he became the community beat officer
for Winton with a brief to provide long term solutions for crime
and community related issues.
You'll see Stuart around - on foot, in a car or
on his bicycle. He spends at least part of every shift actively
patrolling Winton.
He can be contacted on the Dorset police phone
number 01202 222222.
On-line advice from Dorset Police
The Dorset police run a web
site packed with information. It's worth a visit.
Winton Police Station
Opened in 1963, it covers the whole of North
Bournemouth and is the busiest police station in Dorset.
The officers stationed there deal with around 2300 incidents
each month in Winton alone.
