The Parade

The parade kicks off at 10.45 with the crazy antics of the excellent Bournemouth Carnival Band who will be moving up, down and round about Wimborne Road in their usual unpredictable way.

At about 11 the main parade gets underway led by Town Crier David Squire.

So far we have five bands in the parade - Bournemouth Carnival Band, Samba Panache, Meridian Corps of Drums, Dolphin Marching Band and Winton Salvation Army YP Band. But that is not to say that there won't be more!

Providing some twirling pom pom action will be the Wonder Girls Majorettes.

There will be several hundred participants on foot or float and many of them will have their own music and sound systems.

Organisations include: St. Lukes Primary School, Hammond Academy of Performing Arts, Leaps and Bounds, Jo Jingles, Sturtons and Tappers, Dorset Troopers, Subway, The Forge Garage, Hospital Radio Bedside, The Zip Yard, Pole Tease, Bournemouth Children's Centres, Capital School of English, Nokemono Judo, Royal College of Widwives Bournemouth and Christchurch Branch, Winton Girl Guides, Dance Zone, Adagio Dance Academy, Bournemouth Gateway Club.
