Carnival Music

On the road

The Carnival opens with a grand procession through Winton and on to the Winton Recreation Ground. It is an exciting spectacle with its pace set by a number of marching bands. Floats and majorette groups normally also have their own music.

On stage

The Carnival stage on Winton Rec will this year feature a main stage and a smaller apron. We hope this will allow us to get as near as possible to providing non-stop live music without the interruptions as bands come on and off stage.

The emphasis this year is to showcase local bands with an emphasis on infectious rhythm. If the mood takes you, you are invited to get up and dance.

Performances are on a full professional stage before an appreciative audience which can number in the thousands.
